The United Way is very pleased to announce that Kraft Foods will be the Corporate Sponsor the the 2011-2112 campaign.

A long-time supporter of the United Way, Kraft Foods employs approximately 450 people in the Coshocton area.

"The staff here at Kraft Foods-Coshocton facility feel the importance of giving back and supporting the community where our 450 employees live and work.  I am a lifelong resident of Coshocton County, and I have seen firsthand what a great asset United Way is for our children, our families, and the whole area," said Jody Wright, Controller for Kraft Foods.

Over the last decade, Kraft Foods employees have pledged more than $124,000 in support of the Coshocton United Way and its partner agencies.

"I am also thrilled to have Kraft Foods step up to the plate and suport our community in this way.  They were the sponsor in 2004-2005, yet they wanted to continue to show civic responsiblity and help where they can," said United Way director Lyn Mizer.  "Industry in this area has carried our campaigns for many years surpassing their goals and we are very grateful.  Payroll deductions are responsible for more than half of the money we collect.  Every dollar counts!"

Kraft Foods - Coshocton has a total estimated annual economic impact to the community, including payroll, benefits, taxes, raw and package materials, and goods and services of approximately $200 million.

Presently plans are underway for the Kick-Off event of the campaign which will begin with the popular 7th annual Taste of Coshocton Evening to be held at Lake Park on Thursday, August 25th.  For more information on the event, contact the United Way office at (740) 622-4567
